Please join us for a presentation and community discussion focused on informed decision making for clinical trials in cancer care and the value it holds for health outcomes in the black community. Presentations will include addressing health disparities in access to and participation in clinical trials, determining eligibility, understanding the risks and benefits of participation, and how clinical trial representation impacts the effectiveness of treatments in the Black community. Our wisdom panel includes a hematology-oncologist, research nurse practitioner, and a blood cancer patient. Local community-based organizations will be present to share their support resources for the African American/Black cancer community. A boxed meal will be provided for all attendees.
